Frames of future ⏳

AnyCable+

Recently, a Gemfile of the new AnyCable project “leaked” online. The codename is “AnyCable+”, and it’s clearly a Rails app. But what is it for? Although we are eager to share everything with you right now, let us intrigue you a bit longer.

Action Cable server adapterization project

Together with Samuel Williams (who shared this diagram on Twitter), we started working on Action Cable improvements that would make it much easier to use different server implementations (e.g., Async) and even paradigms (like AnyCable) with Rails Action Cable.

Laravel Reverb

It looks like Laravel’s real-time component, Echo, will soon have an upgrade. The project named “Laravel Reverb” is expected to be released soon. What the next-gen real-time for PHP will look like?

SolidCable
